Some things that I would expect students to know (or be getting a grasp of) by the time they hit 6th grade:

• Using an operating system (icons, folders, menu systems)


• Digital organisational skills (naming conventions, directory structures)


• Style and formatting skills (the importance of carefully selecting colours, font sizes, etc for displaying information), content before style


• Using built-in Help systems with software


• Basic search criteria, safe-search options

Please use this as a springboard, my targets may be way off, but I am very open to debate about this.
