Weblog Directory | David Wees' Weblog

This is the blog for Mr. Wees' classes. Here we will be able to include images, flash files, mathematical discussions, or whatever else is relevant to our discussions.

We can also include mathematical equations in our posts, like Quadratic Formula.

You can also see a tutorial on how to include mathematical equations here

Lesson of 18/10/06-Cosine law

In today's lesson we learned about Cosine law and how to use it to solve problems. We use the Cosine law when you are given 1 angle and 2 sides next to it in a triangle (not a right angle triangle!) and you're trying to find the opposite. The equation is:

when a = length of side 1 b = length of side 2 C = the angle you know c = the opposite/the length youre solving for.
