Grade 12 - Matrices

Hello there old Grade 11's! Welcome to Grade 12!

I hope you have all had relaxing summer breaks. I also hope that by now you are starting to prepare for your return to school by doing the matrices work I assigned you.

(Remember: You had to use the provided material along with your text book to write notes on syllabus 4.1 - 4.4. You were also assigned a number of exercise from the text book, and given a sheet of revision questions)

As promised, I am attaching the answers for the revision questions (titled Topic 4 - Matrices) here:

If you have misplaced the holiday work please e mail me (jennifer.thomas@southbank.org) as soon as possible and I will send you a copy.

There will be a matrices test on Friday 10th of September. As you can see, we will be hitting the ground running, so please make sure you arrive at school next week with all of your notes complete.

Here is your mathematical modelling assignment.

The assignment is due on Friday 14th of May. This deadline is not extendable - if you are going to be away from school that Friday you must hand your assignment in early.

Please remember that your assignment must be your own work and that you must cite any sources you use. All students will be required to sign a statement of authenticity when handing in their work.

Hi Everyone,

Here are assignment 8 (which most of you have already handed in) and the Spring break assignment. Please note that the spring break assignment is due the first Monday back. I expect you to attempt all parts of it and indicate any areas where you encounter difficutly so that we can go over them in class during the first week back.

I expect there is about 3 hours work here. Enjoy the rest of your break!

Hello Grade 11!

Over the break you should:
- Ensure you have the notes on how to find the general term in an arithmetic sequence
- Complete exercise 2C (pg 42)
- Read pages 51-52 and use them to write notes on 'Sum of an Arithmetic Sequence'
- Complete exercise 2.E.2 (pg 52)
- Print out this document and answer the questions on it:
