Repeat Patterns

grid2.jpg
Drawing geometric designs in a vector graphics application… will teach you the standard Transforms such as Step and Repeat. There are several ways to “lay-up” these designs on an A4 Page. Sometimes the simplest technique is to use the fact that diagonal lines divide a rectangle…

Once you have a set of designs, please post the a PDF file as a comment against this entry.

You will need to work in pairs negotiating the design specification for your ballistics device.
It is important that you log any important decisions arrived at and make drawings of any new solutions.
Once you arrive at a particular approach you should remember to make clear how you're going to deal with each of the design problems presented
ie. A cocking mechanism?
A trigger mechanism?
How will the device be aimed?
How can the range be changed on the device?
How can the device be made strong enough for all the forces at play?
How will the device be stable enough?

Drawings and evaluations (according to the principles they studied in their research) should be made for each of their ideas in these.
You are expected to explore a range of different ideas in your search for solutions
