The Flash Trebuchet







Freehand and Flash have great interoperabilty. Using Freehand to draw your components and Flash to animate them - model the flight of the object thrown by your Trebuchet. You should embed the animation in a webpage and post the URL as a comment against this entry.

The "Office Supplies" trebuchet

Instructables (our favourite step-by-step project collaboration site) has the how-to on everything you need to build a trebuchet capable of hurling a small ball of Blu-Tac a whopping 4 feet using some basic office supplies.

Ballistics Task

Create a compact device standing on the ground, which can repeatedly deliver a small projectile (weight between 3 and 5 grams) through the air, as close as possible to a target point located on the ground 10 meters from the device. The device can use only natural forces such as the tension of materials and or gravity (no chemical propellants) the use of propulsion should be predictable enough so that aiming the device is possible
