Hampstead
We have a number of confirmed cases of H1N1 Swine Flu across the Grades at Southbank Hampstead. While the virus continues to be mild, we must all remain vigilant to try to limit its spread. The school has provided anti-bacterial hand gel to all classes and students are regularly reminded to:
- Wash their hands using soap and water on a regular basis throughout the day
- Cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing using tissues provided
- Throw away dirty tissues quickly into bins provided around the school
All visitors to the school are asked to clean their hands with an anti-bacterial gel when they enter the building.
If your child shows symptoms of swine flu (similar to the symptoms of human seasonal flu such as fever, fatigue, lack of appetite, coughing and sore throat), the Health Protection Agency advises not to bring them into school. You should contact the National Pandemic Flu Service on 0800 1 513 100 and keep us informed. The following website has the latest details about the national and international situation: http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/PandemicFlu/index.htm
If you have any questions, please contact any of us at the school.
